About us
Eizy is a Montreal-based organization that provides free online English lessons to Japanese children in grades 3 to 6.
Our mission is to make English education more accessible to students who are interested in English. Our goal is to provide conversation-based lessons and make learning fun for children. Our core values are to provide quality education and support student development.
We started as a volunteer organization and are committed to staying true to our roots. Our team of educators and volunteers are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students. We believe that access to a quality education is a right, not a privilege. We look forward to continuing to grow and expand to help more students.

My English Journey
① As an English Tutor
I have been volunteering as an English tutor for elementary school students at a non-profit organization in the United States, called "Learn To Be", that provides online tutoring. Through this experience, I learned the importance of creating a welcoming environment where student's interest in English flourishes. Students who previously had no interest in English or learning itself continue to take my lessons and I have definitely seen an improvement in how they view learning.
② My Educational Background
I attended an international school in Japan in my elementary school years. After passing the junior high school entrance exam, I went on to a Japanese school. In the first year of junior high school, I started competitive debating in English and won several awards. In my third year of junior high school, I moved to Canada and transferred to a local school, where I founded a debate club and participated in Model United Nations. Through studying French as my third language, I experienced the difficulties of learning a new language and use this experience to tutor English in a more approachable, engaging, and fun way!

Why is it free of charge?
In Japan, access to quality education has been greatly hindered due to existing socioeconomic discrimination. We hope to shrink this dire situation through providing free of charge lessons accessible to everyone. Eizy additionally hopes to make volunteer activities more accessible to high school and university students.

Can my child take lessons even without any prior knowledge of the English language?
Eizy provides lessons specialized for beginners including students who have no prior knowledge of the language. Level 1 is recommended for these students. More information on the division of levels is linked below.

How much would my child's English improve?
While improvement in students' English level depends on their memorization and interest in the language, Eizy helps students find joy in learning English and further develop their three skills: reading, writing, and speaking English. For example, in two months of lessons, Level 1 students should be able to understand and use basic English sentences used in daily life, while Level 2 students should be able to read and write English words in one month of lessons. However, it is important to understand that these are not guaranteed, growth is gradual, and consistency is required.

誰でも参加できるのですか？
小学生から大人まで、どなたでも参加できます。ただし、毎週の空き時間に限りがありますので、受講する日の1週間前にフォームにご記入ください。レッスンのご予約は「予約」ページより承っております。初心者から中級者のレッスンを提供しているので、英語の予備知識がなくてもご安心ください。
